영화 커뮤니티를 찾다가 씨네스트까지 흘러들어오게 되었네요. ^^

저 역시 영화를 너무 좋아하다가 미국 영화 VOD시장의 단점을 캐치하여 왈라비 서비스를 준비하게 되었어요.

영화관 이후 후속시장이 거의 전무한 한국과는 달리 미국은 20% 정도를 제외하고는 모두 홈비디오, VOD 등으로 영화를 감상합니다. 모두 "혼자" 보는 문화죠.

어제밤에 봤던 영화에 대해 다른 사람들과 의견을 나누고자 하는데도 안본 사람들도 많고. 혼자 보고 혼자 블로그에 글 쓰는 것으로 끝나버리는 문화를 바꾸고자 하는 것이 왈라비 서비스의 시작이었습니다.

무엇보다도 왈라비에서는 VOD를 시청하면서 다른 사람들과 영화에 대한 의견을 나누며 자유롭게 채팅을 할 수 있습니다. 또한 많은 사람들이 모일수록 티켓 가격이 낮아져 Netflix나 Amazon에서 보는 가격보다 훨씬 싸게 구매할 수 있습니다. 컨텐츠 소셜 커머스라고 생각하시면 쉬울 것 같습니다 :-)

2013년 상반기 미국 동부 런칭을 목표로 현재 개발 중이며,

1월 13일 미국 뉴욕주 대상으로 1차 클로즈 베타 테스트를 진행할 예정이며, 현재 테스트에 참여할 테스터 분들을 모집 중입니다.

One day, I watched really funny one, like The Hang over, so I talked to co-workers. But none of them watched it. I felt lonely deeply. I wanted to talk about movies watched alone last night. Don't you feel like me ever? That’s why I’ve made this service. 

In Wallavie, you can talk while wathcing a movie with deep bond of sympathy! And there is one more benefit for you. More people, cheaper price! It’s like social commerce.
