Actor Brad Pitt has been diagnosed with a mild case of viral meningitis and was released from the hospital Wednesday, his publicist said.
바이러스성 수막염에 걸린 브래드피트가 수요일, 병원에서 나오게 됬다.
Pitt, 41, checked himself into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Monday night complaining of flu-like symptoms.
브래드 피트는 월요일 밤 독감같은 증세를 호소하며 병원에서 검사를 받았다.
Most patients recover from viral meningitis in a week. Severe illness and death is uncommon, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
질병센터는, 죽음으로 이어지는 수막염은 적으며, 보통 일주일정도의 회복기간이 걸린다고 밝혔다.
Pitt was in Ethiopia last week with his "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" co-star Angelina Jolie to pick up the actress' newly adopted baby girl, the second child she has adopted.

Unprepared and Ill-Equipped for a Serial Killer at Large
제대로 준비조차하지 않은 거대한 연쇄살인범
"Memories of Murder" is such a taut, effective thriller it's a shame you have to read subtitles to gauge just how good a movie it is. If you don't speak Korean, that is. The problem isn't the film's South Korean provenance or that it centers on two detectives tracking a serial killer, perilously overworked terrain. The problem is that persuading audiences to watch foreign-language films by directors they've never heard of has never been easy even if - and here's my shameless hard sell - the movie in question works better than most Hollywood thrillers and even those "Law & Order" procedurals with Vincent D'Onofrio.
영화 "살인의 추억"은 긴장되는 스릴러이지만, 자막을 꼼꼼히 읽으며 봐야한다는 것에 참 부끄러운 생각이 든다. 문제는 한국이 배경인 것도 아니고, 2명의 경찰이 위험하나 없는 농경에서 연쇄살인범을 쫓는 것도 아니다. 문제점은 바로, 전혀 들어보지도 못한 감독의 외국말이 나오는 영화를 보게 하려고 설득하는 점이다. 적어도, 내 생각엔 인기있는 시리즈 "법과 질서" 보다도 대단한 스릴러 임에도 말이다.
Serial-killer movies tend to be about the uses and abuses of the female body. As might be expected, the victims in "Memories of Murder" are all women, caught alone, unaware, then raped, executed and left to rot. Most remain anonymous, little more than names and discreetly observed waxen body parts. But in contrast to movies like "The General's Daughter," where even a dead woman provides voyeuristic kicks, "Memories of Murder" throws a veil of mourning over the story. Like the extraordinary scene in "The Silence of the Lambs" in which Clarice describes the physical condition of a dead woman's body in a voice quavering with emotion, the film never loses sight of the fact that all that ravaged flesh was once human.
연쇄살인범은 보통 학대하거나 성폭행을 하는 경향이 있다. 이와같이 "살인의 추억"에서도희생자들은 아무도 모르게 혼자 잡혀 성폭행을 당한 여성들이다. 그렇지만 영화 "장군의 딸"과 비교해볼때, 몰래보게 하는 재미를 보여준다. "양들의 침묵"에서 클라리스가 희생당한 여성들의 몸을 떨리는 감정적으로 묘사하듯이, 희생당한 이들 역시 사람이었음을 절대 놓치지 않는다.
