Seven are adopted by billionaire industrialist Sir Reginald Hargreeves, who creates the Umbrella Academy and prepares his "children" to save the world. In their teenage years, though, the family fractures and the team disbands. Fast forward to the present time, when the six surviving members of the clan reunite upon the news of Hargreeves' passing. They work together to solve a mystery surrounding their father's death, but divergent personalities and abilities again pull the estranged family apart, and a global apocalypse is another imminent threat. Dark superhero movies and TV shows are nothing if not common, but this is the first one I have seen to show the child superhero trope in a more gritty light. Basically, a really rich guy bought babies that had just been born spontaneously, with the mothers just being fine at one moment and 12 months pregnant the next. These kids prove to have superpowers. This guy trains these kids in the ways of combat and they become a superhero team. And a couple decades later they are all really messed up people because they killed people a lot since they were like 12. One is a drug addict and another a vigilante. But when their adoptive father dies, they must reunite for his funeral. And at this funeral, strange things occur. Tudo incrível - personagens, histórias, roteiro, e principalmente - em minha opinião - a trilha sonora. As músicas escolhidas são fantásticas. Se você gosta de música de qualidade, prepare um bom som para assistir esta série porque as trilha sonora é bastante divertida e super envolvente. A comédia aqui é ótima, pois não é uma série de comédia, porém você ri muito: há muito sarcasmo o tempo todo, e em alguns personagens específicos principalmente que colocam esse sarcasmo sem dar um mínimo sorriso mas que fazem a gente inevitavelmente rir. Que série jóia, onde não existe telefone celular no auge da tecnologia. Tratará de conflitos familiares pesados constantes, romances, questões de LGBTQIA+ de forma bastante sossegada e tranquila, questões raciais, conflitos políticos. Assista e entre num mundo completamente estranho e escolha qual dos 7 irmãos Hargreeves é seu favorito. O meu é o Number Five e o Klaus.
