The rest of the Robinson clan should be on the lookout for danger, as well, because they are facing challenging times. It's 30 years in the future and the family has been chosen to start a new life in a space colony. On the way to what they believe will be a better world, the Robinsons' ship is abruptly thrown off course and they are thrown into a dangerous alien environment. Now light-years from their original destination, they must forge new alliances and work together to survive. Stranded with the Robinsons are unsettlingly charismatic Dr. Smith and inadvertently charming Don West, two outsiders who are thrown together by circumstance and a mutual knack for deception. Sumit S Love the series have watched all the seasons, it keeps getting better Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/24/23 Full Review Caleb Would have been better but by season two when those dumb arrogant assholes decide to kill the robot an act like it's an enemy when it was simply trying to help an proves that time an time again is why if there was other life out there we as the scummy humans we are would try to kill them even if they where trying to help. Especially now a days cuz everyone's a little bitch who has to whine an get rid of anything that doesn't make sense. Would have been better to have let the intelligence help them an it clearly feels too. But bc it doesn't look like a human let's get rid of it hell no. I hope if something from another world comes to earth it kills almost all of us. People are a stain on this planet. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/07/23 Full Review Michael Antony A Mikey's TV Review: Lost In Space (2018) Based on the cult US TV show from 1965, this reboot is exactly that - a reinvention of all of the ideas and tropes, quirks and corn, reinterpreted for an audience 50 years on. With high production values it feels epic from the start, more like a big screen outing than something made for television, and at 10 hours it's perfect for Binge Watching. The chemistry between the leads is uniformly good across the board, particularly the Robinson kids, and especially Maxwell Jenkins, the 12 year old actor playing Will. British actor Toby Stephens (son of Maggie Smith), American accent convinces, as does his portrayal of Robinson Patriarch, John. Molly Parker too, is perfectly cast as Maureen. But it's Parker Posey's beautifully nuanced turn as scheming, conniving Dr. Smith that steals the show. A proper old fashioned Love/Hate villainess - without the histrionics or moustache twirling... With a host of Easter Eggs for original series fans, this is a true family delight, that thankfully eradicates almost all memories of the 1998 movie starring Matthew Le Blanc. Mikey's TV Rating 4/5* 😎👍 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/24/23 Full Review Gareth v The best thing about this show are the production values. The plot is simple, plays safe and at times corny. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/24/23 Full Review K F Hands down one of the worst things ever to be shown on TV. The lead character, all the characters are cliched, 2-D with Mrs. Robinson being unbearable to the point I can't even watch the actress in anything else now. Maudlin, sappy, over-emotional, silly drivel. One of the final nails in the coffin of the once great genre known as sci-fi. This is "cry-fi." Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/25/23 Full Review abhishek v Its extremely dumb for a science fiction show. Characters just keep getting away with things because of sheer luck. Lets just walk in the forests of this undiscovered planet with no weapons and protection suits, no risk of getting exposed to something toxic. Eric Deggans NPR "Lost In Space" is a lot more high-tech and serious than its often goofy predecessor. It's still a show about a family of five, last name Robinson, stuck in space. Nov 25, 2019 Full Review Hugo Rifkind Times (UK) It may not be quite interesting enough for anybody who isn't already a mad fan of the genre, and probably a bit too vanilla even for anybody over the age of 12 who is. Apr 23, 2018 Full Review Euan Ferguson Guardian Still feels Americanly anodyne, safe, and, even for something aimed at being "family-friendly", tedious to the point of catalepsy, and no amount of CGI can or should fix that. Apr 18, 2018 Full Review David Hogan hoganreviews.co.uk Overall a really fun series! It kept a family friendly vibe while still bringing the drama and the humour. Rated: 4/5 Feb 19, 2019 Full Review Ani Bundel NBC News THINK An attempt to resurrect camp - without the camp. The resulting show has lost all of its fun quirkiness but doesn't offer viewers a new reason to watch instead. Jan 31, 2019 Full Review Emmet Asher-Perrin Tor.com For a show with such a large assortment of bright spots, its dimmer parts become all the more irritating. Jan 8, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
