May Weird movie. Horrible ending. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/28/23 Full Review Brandon Richardson Its uneven pacing and brief moments of absurdity can undercut the overall tone and message. However, you’ll find excellent performances, outstanding makeup work, and an eerie sound design. Barbarian is a meticulous and utterly terrifying horror movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/09/23 Full Review Angel G It was horrible. I don’t understand how people are raving about this movie. It’s not scary and the ending was the worst Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/05/22 Full Review Noe Suspension and thrilling Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/30/22 Full Review KN Johnson Justin Long always delivers! Loved the story & unexpected ending! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/30/22 Full Review Jane Campy, crazy, scary, jumped in my seat a few times before it even got scary. Very believable acting from Georgina Campbell (very attractive young lady) but character was way too nosy-guess that kept the suspense going :). All the male actors(including 'Mother' :) ) were great. I liked the unexpected back story showing up later in the movie. Music was great. Larushka Ivan-Zadeh metro.co.uk Like the best horrors, it's 'about' stuff -- gentrification, abuse, toxic masculinity, taking responsibility. There's also plenty of jump scares. Rated: 4/5 Nov 30, 2022 Full Review Celia Mattison BuzzFeed News Barbarian is a timely depiction of youth anxiety toward a territorial older class and an older generation’s disdain for an entitled, aimless youth. Nov 8, 2022 Full Review David Sims The Atlantic Barbarian serves up all the requisite thrills with panache, but it also provokes deeper, longer-lasting reflections. Nov 4, 2022 Full Review Emma-Jane Betts The Digital Fix Barbarian is a flick that shines with potential and still manages to stand as a worthy watch for any fan of the horror genre. Rated: 3/5 Sep 25, 2023 Full Review Nadine Whitney The Curb With Barbarian Cregger clearly knows what he’s doing with a horror film. He’s absolutely aware of the tropes and pulls the audience in, tricks them, pulls them in again, and comes up with bizarre and visceral horror. Sep 6, 2023 Full Review Manuel São Bento FirstShowing.net Zach Cregger's unique storytelling in the horror film will leave any viewer baffled, transforming a generic premise into a truly captivating, suspenseful, thematically rich story where the definition of a "good person" is brilliantly explored.
