the spirit and badassery live on in this sequel that no one had asked for, but the plot was kind of lacking. Benicio del Toro and Jeff Brolin are still amazing. I also like the portrayal of Jeffrey Donovan.

Sicario: Day of the Soldado has a great story line with a well thought out sequence flow. You know it's dramatic and theatric but not so over the top to be still believable and that makes it more exciting to watch. Unlike fast moving quick cut over choreographed action scenes that Hollywood spews out to sell pop corn, this movie reflects real life and pulls you in and keeps you guessing and connecting with the characters. You almost wish it was longer. The ending hints at a third sequel, which hopefully will happen. Highly recommend watching it.

A sequel that does not fail. Violence and power get a "the shark" tune, no matter the source. Several plots merge into a story that has meaning for each character but is evidently meaningless on purpouse, with senseless violence as violence often is. You will find action, tension, protagonists you care about.. Not a "we are the good guys" movie. Watch it then. Cheers

Better than the first movie, but mainly because it builds nicely on the established characters of the first one. The directing style is a little more controlled and beautiful in Day of the Soldado. More importantly, the story is excellent and the acting/action is about as good as it gets. This movie will age very well as time moves on.

Intensely gripping and unapologetically violent, "Sicario: Day of the Soldado" stands as a commendable entry in the Sicario anthology. While it may not quite reach the heights of its predecessor, it undeniably demands attention and warrants a viewing.
