Bryan Washington New York Magazine/Vulture Kim's Convenience is the rare sitcom that understands that not every joke needs to be explained to the molecular level, because its viewers live in the world as well. Aug 14, 2018 Full Review Li Lai Mediaversity Reviews The show fulfills a much-needed gap in storytelling: immigrant family life that delivers laugh-out-loud moments without trying to prove that we're all one big happy family. Rated: A Aug 5, 2019 Full Review Dan Hamamura Pajiba There's a third and final engine that powers Kim's Convenience: the complex, contentious relationship between Mr. Kim and his son, Jung. Kushal C Season 2 was a banger!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/09/23 Full Review Tim B Still pretty funny! And has light-hearted moments! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/14/22 Full Review Audience Member This season actually exceeded the first. The characters are richly developed. They are lovable and funny. They deal with real world issues of a relatively serious nature In a fun way. Mr Kim and Janet, in particular, are very rich characters but rest of family and the supporting characters are very fun to spend time with. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member S2 serves up the same warm concoction of heart and laughs that made S1 such a joy. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review max r Hidden gem. I have to keep writing because I have too few characters. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/19/21 Full Review Audience Member It's still as good as the 1st season. The formula (traditional asian parents vs kids who grew up in Toronto) still works and there's more development between family, friends and customers relations. All the conflicts are relatable, although I wish in real life they could be resolved as easy as in this show. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
