Everything from the quite rural, natural settings to the marvellous acting from both Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant makes the connection seem all the more better! Unlike other rom-coms which fail to stand out due to the lack of romance between two leads, this movie's leads make the movie far more worth the while to watch. Both an interesting plot, and IS NOT predictable and bland! One of the best rom-coms out there!

The rom-com masterpiece written and produced by Richard Curtis, starring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts is just about perfect. This is Roberts best performance and her chemistry with Grant, as well as her believability, proves she is a very fine actress. The film is very funny, well acted, has beautiful cinematography and an outstanding score. This is the kind of movie you can watch a dozen times and never get bored

For a movie to disappoint this much, with actors I LOVE this much (usually)... WOW...shows what a dud it is! Roberts is dull as hell throughout & gives ZERO reason onscreen for us to root for her, nor a reason for Hugh to be pining over her whatsoever. Whole thing was soo silly-- annoyingly unbelievable, pretentious, & mostly-- overrated!
